About AfterGlow by America
Established in March of 2021, AfterGlow by America was founded by America DeFleur, a former foster youth and self-published author from Sacramento, CA. While battling with depression, America began to find healing through the creation of craft and art therapy.
America's candles are handcrafted in small batches with help from her children and family.
Focused on sustainability, AfterGlow by America reuses glass vessels found at local thrift stores, giving old dishes a second chance at life. In an effort to reduce waste, shredded cardboard is used in lieu of packing peanuts, along with eco friendly shrink wrap for all products.
Who is America?
America DeFleur is a Freelance Journalist, former foster youth, and self-published author from Sacramento, CA. Aside from writing, she enjoys making candles, spending time with her family, playing video games, and crafting random projects.
With experience in the Nonprofit world, marketing, and social services, America enjoys providing supportive services to underserved youth and families in any way that she can.
